CENTER DIRECTOR – Children of the Redwoods Preschool (Arcata)
Responsible for the overall management of a State Preschool Program. Must meet Site Supervisor level on Child Development Permit Matrix or qualify for a waiver. Requires a minimum of 2 years experience working with preschool age children in a group setting. Full-time (year round): 40 hrs/wk (Mon-Fri); $12.84-$13.48/hr.
FAMILY WORKER II – Worthington Head Start/Winzler Enhanced (Eureka)
Works collaboratively with community agencies, assisting families in identifying & developing goals. Provides case management & support services. Requires a BA degree in Social Work, Psychology, Child Development or related field and 2 years experience in case management, home visiting or working with at-risk families. Bilingual Spanish preferred. Full-time (partial year): 37.5 hrs/wk (Mon-Fri); $13.48-$14.15/hr.
TEAM TEACHER – McKinleyville Preschool
Responsible for the development & implementation of classroom activities for preschool age children. Must meet Associate Teacher level on Child Development Permit Matrix (3 units in administration preferred) and one year experience teaching in a preschool setting. Full-time (school year): 37.5 hrs/wk (Mon-Fri, 9:00-5:00 pm); $10.23-$10.74/hr.
FAMILY RESOURCE TECHNICIAN – Arcata Main Office
Provides general and special project support for the Parent Involvement program. Provides information to Spanish speaking families and interprets & translates, as needed. Provides transportation and support for families to access resources. Bilingual Spanish required. BA degree in social work, psychology, child development or a related field desired. Requires one year experience working with at-risk families and two years experience using computer software programs, such as Word and Excel. Part-time (partial year): 35 hrs/wk (Mon-Fri, 7 hours per day); $13.73 – $15.14/hr.
PROGRAM ASSISTANT III – Arcata Main Office
Perform clerical duties: data entry, program tracking, compile reports, maintain files and regular front desk coverage. Provide set-up & clean-up for inservice trainings, purchasing food & supplies. Requires 3 years office experience—including 2 years computer experience (MS Word/Excel preferred) & advanced clerical skills. Requires high school graduation or equivalent. Part-time (10 ½ months per year): 30 hrs/wk (Mon–Thur, 8:30-3:00 & Fri, 8:00-2:30 pm); $9.75-$10.74/hr. Application Deadline: September 8.

SPECIAL AIDE – Fortuna Head Start
Provide support & supervision to one child following an individualized plan to accommodate the child’s special needs and/or behavior issues. Requires experience working with young children. 6-12 ECE units preferred. Bilingual Spanish preferred. Part-time (school year): 18-20 hrs/wk (Mon-Thurs, 8:30-1:00 pm); $9.30-$9.77/hr.
SUBSTITUTES – Various Locations throughout Humboldt Co.
Intermittent (on-call) work substituting for Classroom Assistants, Assistant Teachers, Housekeepers, Cooks, Assistant Cooks or providing occasional child care for parent meetings.
