Humboldt County Openings:

State Preschool Program – TEAM TEACHER – Toddy Thomas (Fortuna)
Responsible for the development & implementation of classroom activities for preschool age children.  Must meet Associate Teacher level on Child Development Permit Matrix (3 units in administration preferred) and one year experience teaching in a preschool setting.  Part-time (school year): 25-30 hrs/wk (Mon-Fri, afternoons); $10.23-$10.74/hr.

 

State Preschool Program – ASSISTANT TEACHER – McKinleyville
Assists teacher in the implementation and supervision of activities for preschool age children.  Requires a minimum of 6 ECE units and 6 months experience working with young children (12 units of ECE core classes preferable).  Part-time (school year): 25-27 hrs/wk (12:30-5 or 5:30 pm); $8.36-$9.22/hr.

 

SUBSTITUTES: Various Sites (on-call basis)
Assist the teaching staff with the supervision of preschool aged children or infants & toddlers.  Additional substitute opportunities as: Cooks, Housekeepers or for childcare at parent meetings.   Requires experience working with children, cooking or housekeeping.  Flexible schedule.  Let us know your availability (days & hours) and site location interest on your application.  No benefits.  $8.25-$8.57/hr.

Del Norte County Openings:

**Anticipated Opening**
Early Head Start – RURAL HOME VISITOR – Pine Grove (Crescent City)
Provides weekly home visits and facilitates parent and child playgroups twice a month.  Requires 12 ECE units (with core) & 12 related units (or AA in ECE) plus 2 years experience working with families & young children.  BA in Early Childhood Education or Social Work preferred.  Bilingual Spanish preferred.   Full-time (year round): 40 hrs/wk (Mon-Fri); $12.19-$12.80/hr.
