Child Care
Children of the Redwoods Preschool, Children of the Redwoods Infant and Toddler Center, and Smith River Preschool provide quality, individualized child care.  Eligibility is based on income and need.

Parents are invited to participate in staff/parent meetings, curriculum planning and field trips.  The programs provide opportunities for children to explore on their own and are designed to meet the individualized needs of each child.  The staff provides a nurturing and stimulating environment for the children.

State Preschool
The school's program includes educational, physical development, health, nutrition, and social services for preschool children and their families.  Parent involvement in the school and child's education is encouraged through parent meetings, work days, and parent volunteers in the classroom.

The school curriculum is child-centered, with all activities and experiences designed to provide individual developmental opportunities.  Through play and social interaction, children are encouraged to develop self-direction and responsibility.   Eligibility is based on income.
